Phil’s career had started out on a strong note beginning at the John Frieda in-house salon at Claridges. It was from that point, his career was intrinsically integrated within luxury hairdressing. Over time, Phil worked his way up the ranks to become creative director for Tony & Guy, until the point that he went on to pursue independent projects.
After leading the direction for a few fashion shows at London Fashion Week including Julian McDonald, and editorials with GQ, he decided to play to his strength and focus on barbering specifically, which brought him to The Refinery over 15 years ago.
With a wealth of knowledge in hairdressing and barbering, over time, Phil has built up a client base that comes to value him both as a trusted expert as well as a personal friend.
